An innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR6SSA12C) uses CRL’s exclusive Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1) to lock monolithic tempered glass into the rail with exceptional holding power. The system applies downward pressure via two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar; as the bar is tensioned with socket head cap bolts, angled wedges draw the extrusions together and compress a specialty gasket, producing very high retention force (over 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail) — engineered for reliable, long-term performance in commercial glass doors.
