Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR4TSB12CL) features the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2, Canadian Patent 2,419,706, and European Patent No. EP 1 404 939 B1). Designed for 1/2" monolithic tempered glass, this glass door rail system secures glass by applying downward pressure through two aluminum glass-retaining extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tightened with socket head cap bolts, the angled wedge groove forces the extrusions together, producing exceptional clamping force (more than 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail). This engineered wedge action provides high-security glass retention and makes Wedge-Lock rails ideal for commercial glass doors and storefront applications.

The Wedge-Lock® Glass Securing System delivers industry-leading installation speed—experienced installers can prepare a door in under ten minutes. CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rails ship fully fabricated and ready to install with end caps in place. After mounting the rail, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the preassembled adjustable door alignment slide. The Adjustable Door Alignment System allows ±1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door; this feature is standard on both top and bottom rails and supports installation in vertically out-of-square openings.

Access to the three socket head cap bolts is made by removing the end cap: the center bolt secures the slide; the two outer bolts adjust the slide 1/8" (3.2 mm) in or out. Low-profile adjustable slides allow pivots with slotted grooves to be positioned other than the American Standard Setback of 2-3/4" (69.8 mm). Other advantages: rigid single-component housing (won't shift or fall out of adjustment), no need to remove internal components before installation, and durable glass securing pads designed for longevity in extreme environments.

NOTE: All Wedge-Lock® Door Rails include the built-in Jamb Alignment Block. Arms, pivots, closer arms, and floor or overhead pivots must be ordered separately to meet specific job requirements.
