An innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU DR6SSB12CL) features the exclusive Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). This patented wedge-action design applies downward pressure via two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tensioned with socket head cap bolts, angled extrusions engage an angled groove in the rail, producing very high clamping force (more than 900 lbs in the 9" corner rail) for a secure glass-to-rail connection — ideal for heavy-duty commercial glass doors and frameless glass storefronts.

The Wedge-Lock® system also reduces installation time. Experienced installers can prepare a door for hanging in under ten minutes. Rails ship completely fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps preinstalled. After mounting the rail, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the rail.

The standard adjustable door alignment system (top and bottom rails) allows +/-1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door. Adjustment access is via removable end caps revealing three socket head cap bolts: the center secures the slide; the outer two provide the 1/8" in/out adjustment. The low-profile slide accommodates pivots with slotted grooves and can be fabricated for vertically out-of-square openings.
