Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR4TSB38CL), uses the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2, Canadian Patent 2,419,706, and European Patent No. EP 1 404 939 B1). Designed for secure, long-lasting attachment to monolithic tempered glass, the system applies downward wedge pressure via two aluminum glass-retaining extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tightened with socket head cap bolts, angled extrusions lock together in an angled rail groove to produce extremely high clamping force (over 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail).

The Wedge-Lock® system is a time-saving solution for glass doors: experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in under ten minutes. Rails come fully fabricated and ready-to-install with End Caps pre-installed. After rail installation, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the pre-assembled adjustable door alignment slide. The Adjustable Door Alignment System lets you shift the door 1/8" (3.2 mm) toward or away from the jamb without removing the door—standard on both top and bottom rails.

To fine-tune the door after installation, remove the End Cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt locks the adjustable slide; the two outer bolts adjust the slide 1/8" (3.2 mm) in or out. The low-profile slide permits pivot placement other than the American Standard setback (2-3/4", 69.8 mm), enabling fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
