An innovative glass entrance door rail system, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR6SSB38CL) features the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2, Canadian Patent 2,419,706, and European Patent No. EP 1 404 939 B1). Designed for secure attachment to monolithic tempered glass, the system secures the glass by applying downward pressure with two aluminum glass-retaining extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tightened with socket head cap bolts, angled extrusions engage the door rail wedge to clamp the glass—creating exceptional holding force (more than 900 lbs. in the 9" Corner Rail). This reliable wedge action and durable door retaining gasket provide long-term strength for full-length door rails as well.

The Wedge-Lock® Glass Securing System also delivers the fastest installation time among door rail systems for glass entrances. Experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in under ten minutes. CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rails arrive fully fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After rail installation, simply attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the rail.

The standard Adjustable Door Alignment System allows 1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door, provided on both top and bottom rails. To fine-tune the door after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts—the center bolt secures the adjustable slide, and the two outer bolts adjust the slide 1/8" (3.2 mm) in or out. The low-profile adjustable slide permits pivot placement other than the American Standard 2-3/4" (69.8 mm) setback and enables fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
