Description
Overview
- Efficient machine for insulating glass fabrication and IG sealant application
- Dispenses CRL30703 Hot Melt Butyl cakes
- Includes 8' (2.4 m) flexible heated hose and lightweight handgun with swivel and trigger lock
- Quiet, low-maintenance design — our most popular model (Cat. No. SS96)
The CRL Hot Melt Butyl Gunning System (Cat. No. SS96) is a compact, versatile hot-melt butyl dispensing system optimized for insulating glass (IG) fabrication. Its unique pumping action eliminates entrapped air in the sealant, improving bead consistency. The pump holds a 10 lb. (4.53 kg) tank and operates from 100°F to 425°F, allowing CRL Hot Melt Butyl cakes to be added while gunning. An 8' flexible hose with variable 350°–450°F temperature control connects to a lightweight heated handgun featuring a swivel and trigger lock. The SS96 does not use compressed air, runs quietly, and its simple mechanical and electrical systems mean fewer moving parts, less downtime, and lower maintenance.
