The CRL Tin Side Detector (SKU: UVG4) uses short-wave ultraviolet light to reveal the tin side of float glass by producing a milky-white reaction on the tin surface. When aimed at the air side, the lamp only produces a dull reflection with no milky coloration because short-wave UV cannot transmit through the glass. This reliable tin-side identification tool is ideal for auto glass fabrication, glass tempering, mirror manufacturing, and other coated-glass production processes where correct tin-side orientation is critical.

Never look directly at this lamp without wearing the proper eye protection. Lamp light appears dim but can cause irreversible vision damage. Use the included UV protective spectacles whenever the lamp is operating.
