The LCN 4040 Series Surface Door Closer (SKU 4041DDU) is a heavy-duty surface-mounted door closer engineered for institutional and other rugged high-traffic environments. Tested to 10 million cycles and certified ANSI A156.4 Grade 1, this closer delivers proven durability and reliability. The adjustable multi-spring mechanism (sizes 1–6) fits interior doors up to 60" (1.52 m) and exterior doors up to 48" (1.22 m). Fully reversible and shipped complete with a parallel arm bracket, it supports regular, top-jamb, or parallel arm installation for versatile surface door closer mounting. Optional accessories such as Drop Plates and Hold Open Arms are available for special installations.
