Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System, uses the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). This patented wedge action applies pressure from the bottom of the rail via two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is pulled down with socket head cap bolts, the angled extrusions engage the grooved rail and squeeze together—producing exceptional holding force (over 900 lbs. in our 9" (228.6 mm) corner rail), and even greater force in full-length rails. Ideal for secure commercial glass doors and other high-load storefront applications.

The Wedge-Lock® system provides faster installation than most door rails—experienced installers can prepare a door for hanging in less than ten minutes. Rails come fully fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After installing the rail, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the rail.

The built-in Adjustable Door Alignment System allows ±1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door, standard on both top and bottom rails. To adjust on-site, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide; the outer bolts provide the ±1/8" adjustment. The low-profile slide allows pivots with slotted grooves to be positioned off the American Standard setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm), enabling fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
