Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR4SPB34P) features the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). This tempered glass door rail for commercial and architectural entrances secures glass by applying downward pressure through two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the stainless bar is tightened with socket head cap bolts, angled extrusions engage an angled groove in the door rail to wedge the glass securely—delivering high retention force (more than 900 lbs. in our 9" corner rail) and proven long-term stability.

The Wedge-Lock® system provides fast, reliable installation—experienced installers can prepare a door in under ten minutes. CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rails ship fully fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After rail installation, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the rail.

The standard Adjustable Door Alignment System lets you shift the door 1/8" (3.2 mm) toward or away from the jamb without removing the door. This feature is included on both top and bottom rails. To adjust after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide; the outer bolts adjust the slide 1/8" (3.2 mm) in or out. The low-profile slide allows pivots with slotted grooves to be positioned for nonstandard setbacks and vertically out-of-square openings.
