This Rixson® Model 28 Center-Hung Floor Mounted Door Closer (SKU: PH2890SH0RH85) is a heavy-duty center-hung floor closer engineered for reliable performance on exterior and interior doors. The door weight is carried by the bottom arm directly connected to the floor closer spindle, producing greater closing efficiency than surface-mounted or overhead concealed closers. Ideal for commercial and institutional entrances, this floor-mounted door closer supports doors up to 350 lbs (158 kg) and 48" (1.22 m) wide.

Standard features include selective on/off hold open, a built-in positive dead stop, and separate independent valves for closing, latch, and backcheck adjustments—useful for fine-tuning closing speed and impact on heavy doors.

NOTE: Although A.D.A. Series door closers can meet A.D.A. specified opening forces, they may not provide sufficient spring power to control and close every door due to varying site conditions and door size.
