This Rixson® Model 28 center-hung floor mounted door closer (SKU: PH2890SH0LH85) provides a highly efficient mechanical method of door control. The door weight is carried by the bottom arm directly connected to the floor closer spindle, increasing closing efficiency compared to surface or overhead concealed closers. This center-hung floor closer is ideal for heavy-duty commercial doors up to 350 lbs and 48" wide.
Standard features include selective on/off hold-open, built-in positive dead stop, and separate independent valves for closing, latch and backcheck adjustments—useful for precise control on exterior or interior commercial doors.
Note: While the A.D.A. series settings meet A.D.A. specified opening force requirements, varying site conditions and door size can affect spring power and may prevent adequate closing force.
