Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 & 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1) uses an exclusive wedge action to secure tempered storefront and interior glass quickly and reliably. Two aluminum glass-retaining extrusions clamp the glass from the bottom via a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tightened with socket head cap bolts the angled extrusions engage an angled groove in the rail and pull together, creating exceptional holding force — over 900 lbs. in the 9" (228.6 mm) corner rail and proportionally greater force in full-length rails. This patented approach provides a rigid, single-component housing that resists shifting and stays in adjustment over time.

The Wedge-Lock® system delivers industry-leading installation speed for glass door rails. Rails come completely fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After rail installation, simply attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the rail. The standard adjustable door alignment system on both top and bottom rails allows ±1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door — ideal for vertically out-of-square openings.

To adjust after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide, and the two outer bolts allow the 1/8" (3.2 mm) in/out adjustment. The low-profile adjustable slide accommodates pivots with slotted grooves and can be fabricated to nonstandard setbacks.

Other benefits: models accept 3/8" to 3/4" (10–19 mm) glass; internal components do not require removal before installation; and glass-securing pads are designed for longevity in extreme environments. All Wedge-Lock® Door Rails include a built-in jamb alignment block; arms and pivots must be ordered separately.
