The Schlage® M490 Series surface-mounted electromagnetic lock is engineered for high-security access control applications. Meeting UL1034 and ANSI/BHMA A156.23 Grade 1 standards, the M490 delivers a reliable 1500 lb direct holding force and is UL Listed for burglary resistance and as an auxiliary lock for 3-hour fire rated openings. It integrates easily with electronic access control systems, automatic door operators, and fire or hazard sensing systems to support emergency egress.
