The PD and PDT Series use a bronze-and-diamond bond that cuts faster, runs cooler, and delivers the longest life of any diamond drill for glass — typically 1,000–2,000 holes in 1/4" (6.4 mm) glass with proper maintenance and periodic sharpening on a wet sharpening stone. These drills feature a full 3/8" (10 mm) deep diamond cutting surface for extended durability; note metal-bond drills are more fragile and require true-running machines and flat glass surfaces.
