CRL PD and PDT Series Metal Bond Diamond Drills use a specially formulated diamond-and-bronze bond for maximum performance in glass. These Italian-made metal bond diamond drills deliver extended life and consistent cutting for glass drilling applications — typically 1,000 to 2,000 holes in 1/4" (6.4 mm) glass with proper wet sharpening to expose fresh diamonds. The full 3/8" (10 mm) deep cutting surface improves durability and run time, while the multi-layer construction cuts faster and runs cooler than many competitors. Because metal-bond drills are more fragile, use them only in true-running machines on flat glass surfaces for best results.

The CRL PD Series includes an extra-long 1-3/8" x 3/8" (35 x 10 mm) diameter shank for a positive grip. The CRL PDT Series (PDT34) uses Belgian-style mounting threads (1/2" gas), widely compatible with U.S. and European glass drilling machines and suitable for both portable drill units (for example, CRL AMZ1) and high-volume production equipment.
