Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System, uses the exclusive Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). The design secures the glass by applying downward pressure with two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tightened with socket head cap bolts, angled extrusions seat into the rail wedge, generating high holding force (over 900 lbs. in the 9" / 228.6 mm corner rail). This engineered wedge action and specially designed door retaining gasket create exceptional glass retention for tempered glass doors and storefront applications.

The Wedge-Lock® system delivers more than secure glass attachment — it provides the fastest installation time of any door rail system in the industry. Experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in under ten minutes. CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rails ship fully fabricated and ready to install with end caps installed. After rail installation, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the rail.

The Adjustable Door Alignment System lets you move the door 1/8" (3.2 mm) toward or away from the jamb without removing the door. This feature is standard on both top and bottom rails. To access adjustments after installation, remove the end cap to reveal three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide, and the two outer bolts adjust the slide 1/8" (3.2 mm) in or out. The low-profile slide allows pivots with slotted grooves to be positioned off the American Standard setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm), enabling fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
