Our Glass Drilling Starter Set contains the essentials to drill holes in glass up to 3/4" (19 mm) thick. The CRL Glass Drilling Starter Kit features a variable-speed motor, heavy-duty 3/8" (10 mm) chuck, micro-depth adjustment, and non-skid rubber feet. It accepts diamond drills up to 6" (152 mm) in diameter.

CRL stocks EDD Series Diamond Drills from 1/8" to 6" (3.2 to 152 mm). The EDD drills are solid steel for fast, clean hole drilling and consistent break-outs. This starter set includes five commonly requested diameters: 1/4", 1/2", 3/4", 1", and 2".

To drill: mix a 50:1 ratio of water to DTC80QT Diamond Tool Coolant and pour into the RR65 Suction Drilling Ring positioned over the intended hole. Turn on the machine and lower the drill, occasionally lifting to allow coolant into the cut until the hole is complete. This produces a simple, safe process for drilling glass and mirror.

International Note: For customers in Australia and Europe, CRL offers the same starter kit with metric EDD drill sizes (6, 8, 10, 16, and 60 mm) and a 240 V drilling machine (specify Cat. No. AU3DK).

Brush Replacement Note: CRL2 motors use different brush types. Catalog number CRL2BRUSHES is for motors with brushes housed in a black plastic holder surrounding a brass tube on three sides. Motors with all-brass holders require catalog number 869734 (brush only, not entire holder).
