CRL Foam Glazing Tape is a closed-cell polyethylene foam glazing sealant in tape form designed for windows, doors, storefronts, and other fenestration systems. The aggressive acrylic adhesive allows the tape to conform and adhere to curved or irregular surfaces with light pressure. Use as a primary or secondary exterior glazing sealant where glass repositioning is required before final setting.

This self-shimming glazing tape eliminates the need for separate shims or spacers. Constructed with patented cellular-structured foam, it resists water absorption and long-term weathering to provide a durable, long-lived seal. CRL foam glazing tape is compatible with most sealing and glazing compounds.

A minimum of 30% compression must be maintained to provide an effective moisture seal. In small lites this can be achieved by applying pressure directly to the tape when installing glazing stops; in most lites a compression wedge gasket is recommended. Apply with firm, uniform pressure to a clean, dry surface without stretching (the paper liner indicates if the tape has been stretched). Tape corners should be cut and butted together—do not overlap—and a thin bead of an approved sealant should be applied at intersections after the liner is removed. In-service temperature range is –40°F to 180°F (–40°C to 82°C).
