CRL Foam Glazing Tape is a closed-cell polyethylene foam sealant tape designed for exterior glazing and fenestration applications. The aggressive acrylic adhesive bonds quickly to wood, vinyl, aluminum, and glass and holds position on curved or irregular surfaces with minimal pressure. Use as a primary or secondary seal where glass repositioning is required before final setting.

This self-shimming foam glazing tape eliminates the need for shims or spacers. Constructed with a patented cellular foam structure, it resists water absorption and provides a long-lived, weather-resistant seal ideal for window and door glazing systems. A minimum of 30% compression should be maintained for an effective moisture seal. In small lites, apply pressure directly when installing glazing stops; for most lites use a compression wedge gasket. Apply tape with firm, uniform pressure to a clean, dry surface without stretching (the paper liner indicates stretching). Cut and butt tape corners—do not overlap—and apply a thin bead of approved sealant at intersections after liner removal. Compatible with other sealing and glazing compounds.

Product Warning:

CRL Vinyl Foam Glazing Tape must be compressed 25–50% to maintain an effective seal. Use a compression wedge gasket for most installations.
