This CRL Mortise Mounted Shear Lock (SKU: GF3000BRD) is a concealed, patent-designed shear lock engineered for high-security doors. Its patented "floating" mounting lets both the magnet assembly and armature move during engagement, allowing the GF3000 Series to overcome gaps up to 1/4" (6 mm) without current inrush—an advantage for uneven door fits and heavy-duty installations.

The shear lock delivers up to 3000 lbs. holding force with reduced operating temperatures and automatic voltage regulation for 12/24V DC power sources. Ideal long-tail applications include Herculite® doors with top or bottom rails, commercial-grade hollow metal doors and frames, and floor-mount installs where no top rail exists (BRD model). All units include universal hardware for flush or recessed edge mounting and a built-in adjustable automatic relock (1–30 seconds).
