Overview
The CRL Loctite U.V.
Adhesive is an optically clear, medium viscosity adhesive that cures quickly with ultraviolet light, making it ideal for bonding and sealing glass-to-glass or glass-to-metal components.
It forms robust and durable bonds that are perfect for creating all-glass showcases, glass shelves, and furniture.
The adhesive cures within seconds when exposed to U.V.
radiation of 365nm, depending on the intensity and coating depth, resulting in a transparent, water-clear bond.
With excellent strength retention in moisture and humidity, the adhesive resists discoloration and withstands temperatures from -65 to 266 degrees Fahrenheit (-54 to 130 degrees Celsius).
To prepare surfaces for optimal bonding, use Loctite 20162 cleaner/degreaser.
Note that one of the materials in the bond must be transparent to allow U.V.
light penetration, and the product should be stored in a cool, dry place away from U.V.
exposure.
