CRL S1L2100 silicone primer promotes adhesion of compatible one-part CRL silicone sealants to construction materials including coated glass, metal, stone, masonry, and many plastics. For rough or porous substrates, expect about 25 ft² (2.3 m²) coverage per container; on smooth metal surfaces, coverage can reach 50 ft² (4.6 m²). Allow primer to dry 15–60 minutes depending on substrate and weather, and apply silicone sealant within 8 hours for best adhesion. Check the Specification Data Sheet for full application instructions and compatibility.
Product Warning:
Keep containers tightly sealed when not in use. The primer hydrolyzes on contact with atmospheric moisture—prolonged exposure will reduce or destroy effectiveness. Once hydrolyzed (milky appearance) the material cannot be reclaimed and will contaminate untreated primer. Perform a sealant adhesion mock-up to confirm performance. See container label and Specification Data Sheet for limitations.
