The LCN 4040 Series Surface Door Closer (SKU: 4041AL) is a heavy-duty surface-mounted closer engineered for institutional doors and other high-traffic environments. Tested to 10 million cycles and ANSI A156.4 Grade 1 certified, this UL-listed closer provides reliable, vandal-resistant performance for interior doors up to 60" (1.52 m) and exterior doors up to 48" (1.22 m). The adjustable multi-spring range 1–6 lets you fine-tune closing power for varying door sizes and weights. Fully reversible and shipped complete with a parallel arm bracket, it supports regular, top-jamb, or parallel-arm installations. Optional accessories — including drop plates and hold-open arms — are available for specialized installations.
