CRL Thermoplastic Rubber (TPR) Setting Blocks (SKU: TPR566) are 90 durometer thermoplastic rubber blocks designed as a direct alternative to neoprene setting blocks for structural glazing and storefront applications. Ideal for glazing projects that require compatibility with modern structural sealants, these TPR setting blocks offer excellent chemical resistance and will not mar or stain glass or metal surfaces. Available in the common neoprene block sizes used in curtain wall and window installation. Job-specific compatibility testing with your chosen silicone sealant manufacturer is recommended prior to startup.
Key differentiators:
- 90 durometer TPR for durable, load-bearing support
- Formulated for compatibility with silicone, butyl, polyurethane, and polysulfide sealants
- UV stabilized for long-term outdoor performance
- Excellent chemical resistance; non-staining and non-marring
Product Warning:
To ensure sealant-to-block compatibility, the silicone sealant manufacturer can test job-site accessory materials with their silicone using ASTM C1087-87. Written compatibility results are provided; testing typically requires about four weeks from receipt of samples.
