The CRL Adjustable Spring Power Overhead Concealed Door Closer (SKU: CRL8770S) is an ADA-capable, overhead concealed door closer engineered for retrofit and new installations. Available as a body-only unit with mounting clips to replace non-adjustable closers or as a complete package including door closer body, mounting clips, Type S side-load or Type A end-load arm, and your choice of DP-adjustable dual-purpose bottom pivot set or GE-pivot set. Ideal long-tail use cases: "ADA adjustable concealed door closer for storefronts", "overhead concealed door closer with adjustable spring power", and "retrofit concealed door closer for 1/2 inch top rail".
Adjustable Spring Power
Adjustable spring tension from a minimum 8-1/2 lb opening force up to medium spring sizes to match site conditions and ADA requirements.
Independent Adjustment Valves
Dual-action, non-critical valves let you independently set closing speed and latching speed for reliable door control.
Hold-open Options
Available in both 90Β° and 105Β° hold-open and no-hold-open models to suit traffic flow and security needs.
Compact, Standard Fit
Door closer bodies fit into standard 1-3/4" x 4" (44 x 102 mm) or larger extrusions for easy installation and retrofit.
Special Retaining Rings
Retaining rings prevent adjustment valve screws from being backed completely out of the body, improving serviceability and safety.
Important Notes
An auxiliary floor or overhead door stop is recommended to prevent damage from over-extension of maximum door swing. Closers set to comply with ADA opening forces may not provide sufficient spring power to control and close larger or unusually heavy doorsβverify site conditions and door size before final configuration.
