These CRL Overhead Door Closer Kits (SKU: CRL8970A) include a medium-spring door closer body, mounting clips, a Type "A" end-load arm, and a "DP" adjustable dual-purpose bottom pivot set. The closer features independent, dual-action adjustment valves to separately control closing and latching speeds. Available with 90Β° and 105Β° hold-open or no hold-open options. Door closer bodies fit standard 1-3/4" x 4" (44 x 102 mm) or larger extrusions. Additional spring sizes, hardware options, and concealed overhead accessories are available from CRL.
Independent Adjustment Valves
Non-critical valve control lets you adjust closing speed and latching speed independently for precise door control.
Special Retaining Rings
Retaining rings prevent adjustment valve screws from backing completely out of the door closer body, improving reliability.
Notes
An auxiliary floor or overhead door stop is recommended to prevent damage from over-extension of maximum allowable door swing. Although A.D.A. Series door closers meet A.D.A. opening force specifications, they may not provide sufficient spring power for some door sizes or site conditions.

Closers adjusted to meet A.D.A. opening forces may not control and close doors under all site conditions. Not for use on doors weighing over 200 lbs (91 kg) or wider than 36" (914 mm).
