Overview
- Unique, aggressive sawtooth profile for faster cutting
- Our most durable plated diamond drill — machined from solid steel
- Diameters from 1/8" to 4-1/2" (3.2 to 114.3 mm)
The special sawtooth design of CRL Amazing Glazing Plated Diamond Drills (SKU: AG2) reduces contact area for improved grinding action and better coolant penetration. These plated diamond drill bits for glass are ideal for portable tripod and cup-style machines and are among the best glazing diamond drills for clean, controlled glass cutting. Use with DTC80 Diamond Tool Coolant and submerge in a retaining ring for optimal cooling and hole quality. Although plated, these drills can be sharpened one time with a CRL Sharpening Stone after wear to expose remaining diamonds and extend service life.
NOTE: Always wear proper safety gear, including eye protection, when drilling glass. Work should be performed on a flat, horizontal surface. A Cat. No. GF1 Ground Fault Circuit Interrupt Device is recommended when using any electric tool with water or coolant. Failure to follow these precautions can result in operator injury.
Product Warning
NEVER perform any type of freehand drilling. Use a stabilization base—such as our GDB1 or GDB2 Glass Drilling Bases—when operating a hand drill. Extreme care is required; using these drill bits in any manner other than specified may damage the bit and void the warranty.
