Overview
The CRL Tremco® 440 Butyl Architectural Tape is a high-quality, pre-formed butyl sealant available in aluminum and black colors, known for its superior weather resistance and 100% solids content.
Engineered from a compound of butyl and polyisobutylene, it ensures a watertight seal, preventing water infiltration and maintaining elasticity even in low temperatures.
This versatile tape is ideal for non-compression glazing of vision lites and spandrel panels in various building constructions, offering excellent adhesion for lap sealing between materials like steel, aluminum, and porcelain.
Notably, the Tremco® 440 meets AAMA 800-92 standards, and its application is best enhanced when surfaces are prepped following good glazing practices.
