CRL Foam Glazing Tape is a closed-cell polyethylene foam glazing tape designed for exterior and interior glazing applications. The aggressive acrylic adhesive bonds to wood, vinyl, aluminum, and glass and allows positioning on curved or irregular surfaces with light pressure. Use as a primary or secondary seal in windows, doors, demountable partitions, louvers, access panels, and other operable or temporary joints where repositioning before final setting is important.

This self-shimming, patented cellular foam resists water absorption and provides a long-lived seal without shims or spacers. Joints sealed with tape (adhesive on one side) can be opened, closed, and repositioned without the sticky mess of liquid sealants. The non-adhesive face releases cleanly from most surfaces and the tape recovers most of its original thickness after compression.

Maintain a minimum of 30% compression for effective moisture sealing (manufacturer notes vary—see product warning). In small lites, compression may be achieved by applying pressure when installing glazing stops; in most lites a compression wedge gasket is recommended. Apply with firm, uniform pressure to a clean, dry surface without stretching. Cut and butt corners rather than overlapping; apply a thin bead of approved sealant at intersections after liner removal. Compatible with other sealing and glazing compounds.
