CRL Foam Glazing Tape is a closed-cell polyethylene foam glazing tape and sealant in roll form. The aggressive acrylic adhesive positions the foam on curved or irregular surfaces with minimal pressure and provides excellent adhesion to wood, vinyl, aluminum, and glass. Designed for exterior and interior glazing applications where glass repositioning or demountable partitions are required.

Specifically engineered as a primary or secondary seal in windows, doors, louvers, access panels, and other glazing systems, this self-shimming tape eliminates the need for separate shims or spacers. Its patented cellular foam construction resists weathering and water absorption while delivering a long-lived, flexible seal that recovers most of its original thickness after joint opening.

Joints sealed with CRL Foam Glazing Tape (adhesive on one side) can be opened and closed or repositioned without the sticky mess of conventional sealants. The non-adhesive face releases cleanly from most surfaces and the tape is compatible with other sealing and glazing compounds.

A minimum of 30% compression is required to maintain an effective moisture seal; in small lites this may be achieved by applying pressure directly to the tape or by using a compression wedge gasket in most installations. Apply with firm, uniform pressure to a clean, dry surface without stretching (the paper liner indicates if the tape has been stretched). Cut and butt tape corners rather than overlapping or radiusing, and apply a thin bead of approved sealant at intersections after liner removal.

CRL vinyl foam glazing tape must be compressed at least 15% (30% recommended)
