CRL Foam Glazing Tape is a closed-cell polyethylene foam sealant tape designed for exterior and interior glazing of windows, doors, louvers, access panels, and demountable partitions. The aggressive acrylic adhesive positions the foam on curved or irregular substrates with minimal pressure and provides long-lasting adhesion to wood, vinyl, aluminum, and glass. Ideal for glazing applications where glass repositioning is required before final setting.
Designed to function as a primary or secondary seal, this self-shimming tape eliminates the need for separate shims or spacers. Its patented cellular foam construction resists water absorption and provides a durable, weather-resistant seal that recovers most of its original thickness after compression, making it suitable for operable and temporary joints.
Joints sealed with CRL Foam Glazing Tape with adhesive on one side can be opened, closed, and repositioned without the sticky mess of traditional mastics. The non-adhesive face generally releases cleanly from most surfaces. Use in glazing stops, formwork, and other applications where a clean, removable seal is required.
Features
- Simplicity: no mixing, no special equipment, no clean-up

- Remains flexible at low temperatures and dimensionally stable at high temperatures
- Non-yellowing, non-staining water-white adhesive for a clean appearance
- Seals effectively against water, dust, and light

A minimum of 30% compression is stated in the product literature to maintain an effective moisture seal; a separate product warning references 15% compression for some installations. In small lites, compression can be achieved by applying pressure directly when
