CRL Foam Glazing Tape (SKU: 74814X12BL) is a closed-cell polyethylene foam sealant in tape form designed for exterior and interior glazing applications. The aggressive acrylic adhesive positions the foam with minimal pressure and adheres to wood, vinyl, aluminum, and glass. Use as a primary or secondary seal where glass repositioning, demountable partitions, louvers, formwork, access panels, doors, or temporary joints are required.

Constructed with a patented cellular-structured foam, this self-shimming tape resists water absorption and long-term weathering while providing a durable, long-lived seal. The non-adhesive face releases cleanly from most surfaces, and the tape recovers most of its original thickness after joint opening—ideal for operable or temporary glazing systems.

A minimum of 30% compression is recommended to provide an effective moisture seal; for small lites this can be achieved by applying pressure when installing glazing stops. However, the product warning references that CRL vinyl foam glazing tape must be compressed 15% to maintain an effective seal—follow specific product instructions and application recommendations for your substrate and lite size. Apply with firm, uniform pressure to a clean, dry surface without stretching (the paper liner indicates if the tape has been stretched). Cut and butt tape corners—do not overlap—and apply a thin bead of an approved sealant at intersections after removing
