CRL Foam Glazing Tape is a closed-cell polyethylene foam glazing tape with an aggressive acrylic adhesive formulated to position and hold foam on curved or irregular surfaces with minimal pressure. Designed for exterior and interior glazing applications, this self-shimming tape adheres to wood, vinyl, aluminum, and glass and allows glass repositioning before final setting. Its patented cellular foam construction resists water absorption and long-term weathering for a durable, long-lived seal.


Use CRL Foam Glazing Tape as a primary or secondary seal in glazing systems, demountable partitions, louvers, formwork, access panels, doors, and other operable or temporary joints. The non-adhesive face releases cleanly from most surfaces and the tape recovers most of its original uncompressed thickness when a joint is opened, enabling reuse without the sticky mess of conventional sealants.

Installation note (from product literature): a minimum of 30% compression must be maintained to provide an effective moisture seal. In small lites this may be achieved by applying pressure directly to the glazing tape when installing glazing stops; in most lites a compression wedge gasket is recommended.
