CRL Foam Glazing Tape is a closed-cell polyethylene foam glazing sealant in tape form. The aggressive acrylic adhesive allows easy placement on curved or irregular surfaces with light pressure and repositions without mess. It adheres to wood, vinyl, aluminum, and glass and is suitable for exterior glazing where glass repositioning is required before final setting.

Designed as a primary or secondary seal in a variety of glazing systems, CRL Foam Glazing Tape is self-shimming so no additional shims or spacers are required. Its patented cellular foam construction resists weathering and water absorption to deliver a durable, long-lived seal.

Joints sealed with CRL Foam Glazing Tape with adhesive on one side can be opened, closed, and reused—ideal for demountable partitions, louvers, formwork, access panels, doors, and other operable or temporary joints. The non-adhesive face releases cleanly from most surfaces, and the tape recovers most of its original thickness after compression.

Maintain a minimum of 30% compression to ensure an effective moisture seal. In small lites, apply pressure directly to the tape when installing glazing stops; in most applications, use a compression wedge gasket. Apply tape with firm, uniform pressure to a clean, dry surface without stretching—the paper liner will indicate if stretching occurs. Cut and butt corners rather than overlapping; apply a thin bead of an approved sealant at intersections after removing the liner. CRL Foam Glazing Tape is compatible with other sealing and glazing compounds.
