CRL Foam Glazing Tape (SKU: 74418X112GRY) is a closed-cell polyethylene foam sealant tape with an aggressive acrylic adhesive formulated to tack instantly with minimal pressure. Designed for exterior and interior glazing applications, it adheres to wood, vinyl, aluminum, and glass and allows glass repositioning before final setting.

Specifically engineered as a primary or secondary seal in glazing systems, the tape is self-shimming—eliminating the need for shims or spacers. Its patented cellular foam construction resists weathering and water absorption for a long-lived, reliable seal.

Joints sealed with CRL Foam Glazing Tape (adhesive on one side) can be opened, closed, and repositioned without the sticky mess of traditional sealants. The non-adhesive face releases cleanly from most surfaces, and the tape recovers most of its original thickness after compression, ready for reuse in demountable partitions, louvers, formwork, access panels, doors, and other operable or temporary joints.

A minimum of 30% compression is recommended to provide an effective moisture seal (manufacturer guidance). In small lites this can be achieved by applying pressure directly to the tape when installing glazing stops; in most lites a compression wedge gasket is recommended. Apply with firm, uniform pressure to a clean, dry surface without stretching—the paper liner will indicate stretch. Tape corners should be cut and butted, not overlapped, and a thin bead of approved sealant may be applied at intersections after liner removal. CRL Foam Glazing Tape is compatible with other sealing and glazing compounds.
