CRL Edgetech Super Spacer® (SKU: SS5866BL) is a premium insulating silicone foam spacer designed for insulating glass units. The flexible silicone foam minimizes perimeter edge condensation and significantly reduces window heat loss. Super Spacer® is ideal for specialized insulating glass designs, including curved and irregular-shaped units, sound-insulating IGUs, triple-glazed assemblies, and art glass inserts.
UV-resistant silicone provides long-term durability and prevents spacer degradation. The compressible foam accommodates glass bowing and thermal movement while improving edge-sealant performance. The foam’s permeability enables fast moisture pick-up, and a high-performance multi-layer barrier film reduces moisture vapor transmission and inert gas loss.
Rolls are 66' (20.1 m) long. Other colors and bulk rolls are available by special order. NOTE: Super Spacer® cannot be used without an edge sealant. We recommend CRL Hot Melt Butyl or CRL 877 Super Spacer Sealant.
