The CRL DC54 Size 4 Surface Mount Door Closer (SKU: DC54BLK) is a heavy-duty surface-mount door closer ideal for commercial and residential projects. The Size 4 spring is specified for interior doors up to 48" (122 cm) and exterior doors up to 42" (107 cm), handling door weights approximately 143–187 lbs (65–85 kg). Features include an adjustable back check to protect doors and hardware from wind or violent swings, and independently adjustable closing and latching speeds for smooth, compliant operation. Designed for universal installation, each closer ships with a Parallel Arm Bracket and mounting hardware for regular, top-jamb, or parallel arm applications. All CRL surface mounted closers are UL listed and meet ANSI A156.4 Grade 1 performance standards, backed by a 10-year warranty. Optional accessories, such as Drop Plates and Hold Open Arms, are available for specialized installations.
