Overview
The CRL Tremco® 440 Butyl Architectural Tape is an exceptional pre-formed butyl sealant, renowned for its superior weather resistance and 100% solids content, ensuring no shrinkage or sealant failure.
Available in sleek aluminum and black colors, this versatile tape forms a watertight seal, perfect for non-compression glazing in metal and wood frames, as well as lap sealing between panels like steel, aluminum, and porcelain.
With excellent adhesion, CRL Tremco® 440 remains elastic even in low temperatures and is ideal for various glazing systems.
Please note that this tape is not suitable for joints exposed to continuous water immersion or temperatures over 158°F (70°C), and consider higher performance options for glass lites over 75 inches.
For optimal use, follow good glazing practices and consult applicable standards such as AAMA 800-92.
