Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: CDR4SDU12S) features the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 & 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). This patented tempered glass door rail system secures glass by applying vertical pressure from the bottom using two aluminum glass-retaining extrusions and a flat stainless-steel bar. As the bar is tightened with socket head cap bolts, the angled wedge action pulls the extrusions together, producing tremendous securing force (more than 900 lbs. in the 9" / 228.6 mm corner rail). The same wedge principle increases securing force proportionally in full-length rails for robust commercial glass entrance performance.

The Wedge-Lock® Glass Securing System delivers fast installation for commercial and architectural glass doors—experienced installers can prepare a door in under ten minutes. CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rails ship fully fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After rail installation, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the preassembled adjustable door alignment slide to hang the door.

The Adjustable Door Alignment System allows ±1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door, standard on both top and bottom rails. To access adjustments, remove the end cap to reveal three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide; the two outer bolts provide the 1/8" in/out fine adjustment. The low-profile slide allows pivot placement offset from the American Standard setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm), accommodating vertically out-of-square openings.
