CRL 777 Butyl Rubber Sealant (SKU: 777GRY) is a butyl-based sealant formulated with age-resistant polymers and a UV-fighting agent for extended exterior service life. It provides excellent adhesion to most clean substrates and maintains watertight performance through joint movement of ±10%. Ideal as a high-weather-resistance sealant for exterior applications where long-term sealing is required.


Basic Uses
Recommended for exterior sealing, CRL 777 adheres well to wood, masonry, glass, concrete, some plastics, and metal. It is well suited for concealed details—under sill cans, thresholds, around screw heads—and exposed applications such as between metal building panels, under aluminum siding and gutters, and around wall-mounted HVAC units. Application temperature: 40° to 120°F (4° to 49°C). Service temperature: -20° to 200°F (-29° to 93°C). Paint time: 24 hours.

Product Warning:

Not recommended for horizontal decks, patios, driveways, or terrace joints subject to abrasion or physical abuse. Not for window glazing or hidden joints that require a non-skinning, non-hardening sealant. CRL 777 cures via a solvent-based system and may emit a slight mineral spirits odor during application—avoid use where odor is objectionable (for example, refrigerated units soon after construction).
