CRL 777 Butyl Rubber Sealant (SKU: 777BRZ) is a solvent‑based, butyl rubber sealant formulated with age‑resistant polymers and a UV‑fighting agent for extended exterior service life. It offers excellent adhesion to most clean substrates and maintains watertight performance through joint movement of ±10%.

Key Applications

Recommended for exterior use on wood, masonry, glass, concrete, some plastics, and metal. Ideal for hidden areas such as under sill cans, thresholds, and around screw heads, and for gaps between metal building panels, wall‑mounted HVAC units, under aluminum siding, and gutters.

Application temperature: 40° to 120°F (4° to 49°C). Service temperature: -20° to 200°F (-29° to 93°C). Paint time: 24 hours.

Product Warning

Not recommended for horizontal decks, patios, driveways, or terrace joints subject to abrasion or physical abuse. Not for window glazing or hidden joints that require non‑skinning, non‑hardening sealants. CRL 777 cures via a solvent base; a normal mineral spirits odor will be present during application. Avoid use where odor is objectionable (for example, refrigeration units that will be stocked soon after construction). Check cartridge label and Specification Data Sheet for additional limitations.
