These CRL Shallow Depth Floor Mounted Door Closers (SKU: CRL8370) are engineered for installations that require a minimal 1-9/16" (40 mm) floor cut-out—ideal for upper floors and retrofit projects where remaining floor thickness must support the door. The low-profile design and shallow cut-out distinguish this floor closer by preserving floor strength while providing reliable operation.

The closer features separate valves for precise closing and latching speed adjustment. Choose from 90° and 105° hold-open or no hold-open models. A 1/8" (3 mm) collar-height spindle is supplied for a 5/16" (8 mm) clearance from finished floor to door bottom; optional spindles accommodate other finished floor heights. Available accessories include cover plates, pivots, center-hung and offset arms.

Note: Install an auxiliary floor or overhead stop to prevent over-extension and protect the closer and entryway.
