This Rixson® Model 28 Center-Hung Floor Mounted Door Closer (SKU: PH28105SH0RH85) delivers high-efficiency mechanical door control for heavy doors. The door weight is supported by the bottom arm, which connects directly to the floor closer spindle—providing greater closing efficiency than surface-mounted or overhead concealed closers. Ideal as a center-hung floor mounted door closer for 350 lb doors and 48" openings, Model 28 is specified for both exterior and interior applications.

Standard features include selective on/off hold open, built-in positive dead stop, and separate independent valves for closing, latch and backcheck adjustment for precise control. These features make the Model 28 a durable solution for commercial entrances requiring reliable, adjustable closing performance.

NOTE: Although A.D.A. series door closers are designed to meet A.D.A. opening force requirements, they may not provide adequate spring power to control or fully close the door in all site conditions or with larger door sizes.
