Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System, uses the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). This wedge-action design applies pressure from the bottom of the rail using two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tightened with socket head cap bolts, the angled extrusions engage the rail groove and pull together, creating exceptional holding force (more than 900 lbs. in the 9" (228.6 mm) corner rail). This proven mechanism secures tempered glass firmly while minimizing movement over time — ideal for commercial glass doors and storefronts requiring reliable glass door rails.

The Wedge-Lock® system delivers faster installation than traditional door rails. Experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in under ten minutes. CRL Wedge-Lock® door rails arrive completely fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After rail installation, simply attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide preassembled in the rail.

The Adjustable Door Alignment System lets you realign the door 1/8" (3.2 mm) toward or away from the jamb without removing the door. This adjustment is standard on both top and bottom rails. To adjust after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide and the two outer bolts adjust the slide in or out. The low-profile slide permits pivot placement other than the American standard setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm), allowing fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
