Our innovative glass entrance system, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System, features the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2, Canadian Patent 2,419,706, and European Patent No. EP 1 404 939 B1). This wedge-style door rail for tempered glass works by applying downward pressure from the bottom of the rail using two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tightened with socket head cap bolts, angled extrusions engage the door rail groove and pull the glass retaining pieces together, creating exceptionally high clamping force (more than 900 lbs. in our 9" (228.6 mm) corner rail). This design yields secure, durable attachment across full-length rails for commercial glass entrance doors.

The Wedge-Lock® Glass Securing System delivers fast installation for installers working on commercial storefronts and glass door projects. Experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in less than ten minutes. Rails come completely fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After mounting the rail, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the pre-assembled adjustable door alignment slide. The Adjustable Door Alignment System allows ±1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment without removing the door, standard on both top and bottom rails—ideal for aligning doors in vertically out-of-square openings.

To adjust after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt locks the slide, while the outer two bolts provide the 1/8" in/out adjustment. The low-profile slide enables pivots with slotted grooves to be positioned other than the American Standard setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm).
