Overview
- Unique aggressive sawtooth profile for faster glass cutting
- Our most durable plated diamond drill bit for glass
- Available diameters: 1/8" to 4-1/2"
The special sawtooth design of CRL Amazing Glazing Plated Diamond Drills (SKU: AG312) reduces contact area to improve grinding action and increase coolant penetration, making these diamond glass drill bits ideal for portable tripod and cup-style machines. Machined from solid steel for maximum durability, these plated diamond drills perform best when used with DTC80 Diamond Tool Coolant and submerged in a retaining ring. When fully worn, the plated surface may be sharpened one time with a CRL Sharpening Stone to expose remaining diamonds and extend service life.
NOTE: Always wear proper safety gear, including eye protection, when drilling glass. Work should be performed on a flat, horizontal surface. When using electric tools with water or coolant, a Cat. No. GF1 Ground Fault Circuit Interrupt Device is recommended. Failure to follow these precautions can result in operator injury.
Product Warning
NEVER perform any freehand drilling. Hand drills require a stabilization base such as our GDB1 & GDB2 Glass Drilling Bases. Extreme care is required—using these drills outside specified methods may damage the bit and void the warranty.
