This CRL Commercial Heavy-Duty Automatic, Surface Mount, Door Bottom (SKU: 75NGA36) is a mechanically actuated, surface-mount door bottom designed for carpeted interiors and threshold sealing. An internal carrier bar with a durable vinyl insert drops from a concealed cavity to create a tight seal between the door base and sill while retracting when the door opens. Supplied with a frame "actuator" protector plate, the unit is field reversible to suit either door hand.
Key differentiators: heavy-duty construction for commercial use, concealed carrier bar for a clean look, adjustable threaded hex plunger for fine-tuning seal pressure, and an actuator protector plate to prevent wear. Proper actuation occurs only when installed — the back edge (near the hinge side) must contact the sill first, then the front edge will drop to form the seal. If needed, back out the threaded hex plunger to increase seal pressure once the carrier bar contacts the sill.
