The special sawtooth design of CRL Amazing Glazing Plated Diamond Drills reduces contact area for improved grinding action and increased coolant penetration, making these plated diamond glass drill bits ideal for use in portable tripod and cup-style machines. Manufactured from solid steel for maximum durability, these glass drilling bits perform best when used with DTC80 Diamond Tool Coolant and submerged in a retaining ring. Although plated, these diamond drill bits can be sharpened one time with a CRL Sharpening Stone after they are fully worn to expose remaining diamonds and extend service life.
NOTE: Always wear proper safety gear, including eye protection, when drilling glass. Perform work on a flat, horizontal surface. A Cat. No. GF1 Ground Fault Circuit Interrupt Device is recommended when using any electric tool with water or coolant. Failure to follow these precautions can result in operator injury.

NEVER perform freehand drilling. Hand drills require a stabilization base such as our GDB1 or GDB2 Glass Drilling Bases. Extreme care must be used—using these drills in any manner other than specified may damage the bit and void the warranty.
