CRL Fortifiber FortiFlash® Waterproof Flashing is a premium, self-adhesive, waterproof flashing membrane for windows. It is also ideally suited for flashing non-roofing horizontal surfaces such as pot shelves, parapets, sill pans and recessed windows. This product is reinforced by incredibly strong, cross-laminated, high-density polyethylene film. This self-sealing, rubberized, asphalt core membrane is perfect for sealing around common through-wall penetrations. The 25 mil thick flashing makes it the preferred product for working in tight corners, while the 40 mil flashing is best suited for those applications where a thicker product is desired.
Wipe the window flange (D) and base Moistop PF Flashing (B) layer clean before applying Fortifiber FortiFlash. Cut the desired length of Fortifiber FortiFlash with a sharp knife. Pull off the release paper and place the Fortifiber FortiFlash (E) on top of the window flange. Apply firm pressure along the entire length to ensure a continuous seal.
